Terms and refunds

Nobody Peeks is operated by 2822879 Alberta Inc., an Alberta, Canada corporation. By creating or joining a game you agree to these terms. They're short because the product is simple.

What you're buying

One paid game ($25) gives you one room: a blind card scan, the cup game, up to 12 players per game, and up to 5 games with the same locked result, so you can run the reveal for different groups. Practice rounds are free and use a made-up result. Payment is a one-time charge processed by Stripe. There's no subscription.

Refunds

• Before your game starts: the host can refund the full price instantly from the lobby, for any reason, including a card that won't scan. The game is locked again, and you can pay later to reopen it. Instant refunds are limited to one per customer, matched by checkout email or card. After that, email us and we'll review it.
• After your game has started: email hello@nobodypeeks.com with your room code. If a problem on our side spoiled your reveal, we'll make it right, which usually means a full refund.

Refunds go back to the original payment method and can take 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement.

Referral rewards

After a paid game, the host gets a personal link, and partners we work with get a code of their own. For each paid game someone else books through a link, its owner earns $10, with no limit. Earnings build up as a balance tied to the owner's email. We email a statement each month, and pay out the balance, any amount, whenever the owner asks by replying to it. A game booked with the owner's own email or card, or a game that cost nothing, doesn't count, and a game that's refunded may be taken back off the balance. We may change or end the program, paying out what's already been earned, and may withhold rewards we believe are being gamed.

About the result

Nobody Peeks shows whatever is on the card you scan. The card reader is built to refuse anything it isn't sure about and to ask for a rescan instead of guessing, but no software is perfect. Nobody Peeks isn't a medical service, and the result is only as accurate as the test or scan behind the card. Medical questions belong with your healthcare provider.

Fair use

Please don't try to get into rooms you weren't invited to, overload the service, scan things that aren't reveal cards, or use Nobody Peeks for anything unlawful. We may close rooms that do.

The legal bits

Nobody Peeks is provided as is. We work hard to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the game in question.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived, including cancellation and refund rights under Alberta's internet sales contract rules and the equivalent rules where you live.

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, subject to any mandatory consumer rights where you live. Before starting a formal dispute, please email us and give us a chance to fix it.

We may update these terms. The version in effect when you buy a game applies to that game.
